Growth pattern of Crab Grass

It’s early spring now, and YES it is time to put down the “pre-emergent weed control” onto your lawn. But why should you do that, you ask? Pre-emergent herbicides help control broadleaf weeds from germinating in your lawn. Some examples of broad leaf weeds are Crabgrass and Dandelion. Once the weed control is applied and watered in, the herbicide moves off the granular particles and forms a barrier on top of the soil, hindering the growth of weeds.

So if you want to help eliminate crabgrass from the lawn, then apply your broadleaf weed control (pre-emergent weed control) now.
